An Ideal Husband , 26th September 2018 to 29th September 2018, 19:45 to 22:45 at Headgate Theatre Colchester, Chapel Street North, Colchester (21.7 miles)
Sir Robert Chiltern is seen by all as the ideal public figure: an incorruptible and honest politician. But this has not always been the case, and his past is about to catch up with him. Wilde's political comedy touches on themes of honour, forgiveness, trust and human relationships. Fun is poked at the ruling classes whilst posing some thought provoking moral questions which feel as relevant today as they were when written. "Sooner or later," Wilde notes, "we shall all have to pay for what we do."
